Canada’s Wonderland: Things You Should Know Before Visiting

Updated: Jun 15, 2021

While Canada may not be reputed for its theme parks and roller coasters, there’s one place that is sure to satisfy the cravings of those planning a remarkable family vacation: Canada’s Wonderland. Located in Vaughan, Ontario, this beautiful park is one of the most popular attractions in the region. Opened to the public in 1981, Canada’s Wonderland is home to more than 200 attractions and 77 rides. There is something for every member of the family. Check out these tips for visiting Canada’s Wonderland.

1. Plan Ahead for a Ride

It is important that you make a ride plan before getting to the park. Be sure to arrive at the park in the early hours of the day and before the rush hour. Once there, find your way to the rides on your list. Don’t be surprised when you meet long lines at the most popular or newly added rides. So to reduce your wait time, get to the park as early as possible. Alternatively, you can buy Fast Lane tickets and avoid the long lines. Canada boasts some of the tallest and largest roller coasters in the world including Leviathan, Lumberjack and Mighty Canadian Minebuster. Your family will be spoilt for choice with the long list of thrill rides available.

2. Get On Yukon Striker

More fun and exciting moments await you this 2019 season. Canada’s Wonderland has never failed in its promises of adding new rides to its fleet every year. This is introducing the all-new world record-breaking dive coaster: Yukon Striker. This new ride prides itself on being the world’s fastest, longest and tallest dive coaster. With speeds reaching 130 km/h, Yukon Striker will take you on a ride of a lifetime. No other dive coaster in the world can match its awesomeness. It is indeed an experience that should not be missed by all.

3. Check Out Planet Snoopy and KidZville

Planet Snoopy and KidZville are the places to be, especially if you are traveling with younger kids. For sure, the rides and attractions are open to people of all ages, but it is perfectly suited for youngsters. Kids can fly in Snoopy or enjoy a thrilling ride in the Ghoster Coaster. More so, kids can have thrilling moments with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and other Peanut characters. Plenty of amazing activities awaits youngsters in this section of Canada’s Wonderland.

4. Splash Works

If you are looking for something different from the rides and roller coasters, then you may want to consider the water parks. One of the best spots that your kids will love is Splash Works. Regardless of the ages, this 20-acre water park offers you plenty of option to stay cool on a hot summer day in the park. Here you will find a kid’s water play areas, the plunge, a long lazy river stretching about a quarter mile and several water slides to leave you and your family feeling healthier and better than ever. Remember to bring your swimsuits when visiting the park during the summer months.

Spend your summer vacation with family at Canada’s Wonderland. Lots of fun, excitement, and thrills await you. The park has plenty happening this season to keep you and your kids busy and entertained. Buy your tickets ahead of time and start making plans for summer fun.
