Updated: Jun 15, 2021

In 1992, Disneyland Paris opened much to the delight of many. When it was first opened it was known as Euro Disney Resort but is now officially the Disneyland of Paris. Many residents of France went on to become full-time employees of the park. This differs from the majority of other Disney parks that use temporary and seasonal employees.

Best Times To Visit

Midweek seems to be the best time to visit Disneyland Paris. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are not nearly as crowded as Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are. The best times of the year to go in order to avoid the worst of the crowds is approximately January 15th to March 15th or April 15th through May 15th.

Getting To Disneyland Paris

You can get a bus between Paris and nearby Disneyland to avoid having to drive there. There are also trains that you can take to get back and forth, and most bus tickets are good for the train. Every 15 minutes a train heads to Disneyland Paris, making getting there easier than getting too many of Disney’s other parks. Hotel picks and drop-offs are not uncommon and are something that can be arranged when you book your accommodations.

Admission Tickets

When buying tickets to Disneyland Paris note that two different parks make up the resort. You can choose to simply visit Disneyland Park or also visit Studio Park. You can purchase tickets for one park or the other, or a ticket that gets you into both parks. Park tickets can be purchased for one, two, three, four, or five days.

There are two types of tickets to purchase; one is for fixed dates and one is flexible when it comes to the dates. The flexible date tickets will cost you more money. Prices vary from day to day so it is best to check the Disneyland Paris website for the relevant pricing.

Fastpasses at Disneyland Paris

While you can obtain the Fastpass in advance for many of Disney’s parks this is not the case with the Paris location. Instead, an older system is used to give out Fastpasses. When you arrive at the park you must insert your ticket into a machine at the entrance to get your pass.

Within Disneyland Paris’s main park, Fastpasses can only be used for rides and attractions such as Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Big Thunder Mountain, to name a few. At Studios Park you can get a Fastpass for Tower of Terror, Flying Carpets over Agrabah, Ratatouille, and the Rock N Roller Coaster.
